Foundations engineered for Arkansas soil

Arkansas has its own mix of clay, rock, and groundwater conditions — and a foundation poured without accounting for them is a foundation built to fail. Our team designs each foundation around the actual site: soil tests, drainage, frost depth, and structural load.

Residential & commercial

From custom homes to multi-tenant commercial pads, we have the equipment and crew to deliver on time. Every project includes layout, excavation, formwork, rebar, and a code-compliant pour finished to spec.

Backed by 45+ years

We've been pouring foundations across Northwest Arkansas long enough to know what works and what fails. That's why builders and developers across NWA trust Precision Foundation Specialists with their most critical structural work.

FAQs

New Foundation Construction — questions homeowners ask

How long does it take to pour a new residential foundation?

From site prep to a fully cured pour: typically 7–14 days, weather dependent. Excavation and forming take 2–4 days; rebar, plumbing rough-in, and inspections add 2–3 days; the pour itself is one day; full cure to load-bearing strength is 7 days, full design strength at 28. We coordinate with your builder so framing can start on schedule.

Do you pull permits and handle code inspections?

Yes. We pull foundation permits in every NWA city we work in, schedule and meet inspectors, and provide stamped engineering when the structural design requires it. You stay focused on your project; we handle the city paperwork.

What type of foundation is best for a new NWA home — slab or basement?

Depends on the lot. Flat lots usually get a monolithic slab — fastest and least expensive. Sloping lots in Bella Vista or hillside Fayetteville often justify a walkout basement that adds usable square footage. Where the water table is high, a pier-and-beam over crawl space sometimes wins. We design to the actual site rather than defaulting to one approach.

How do you handle soil prep on lots that have been previously cleared or filled?

We require soil testing on any lot with engineered fill or unknown history. Based on the geotechnical report we either over-excavate and re-compact, design a deeper footing, or specify helical piers from the start so we're transferring load to undisturbed strata. Skipping this step is how you end up with a 3-year-old house that needs underpinning.
